This cross is uphill and north from Huckworthy Bridge and hamlet and is an easy find as it sits right by the road between Horrabridge and Sampford Spiney. The reason for this cross is clear, the monks travelling from Tavistock to Plympton would pass by this cross, especially if they were visiting Sampford Spiney, which was part of the Plympton parish.
