Balstone Wood Tor

This tor within a stones throw (if you’ve got a good arm) of Berra Tor. However the greenery around both tors will mean one can’t be seen from the other. Sitting above the wood of the same name this tor sits just off a path which links it to the descending path down to Virtuous Lady Crags and Mine. However when standing on the path you will only see a small outcrop of rocks, barely worth talking about, head into the trees to uncover the tor itself as it begins to tumble down the hill. This is a fine tor to link in with a good walk around the Doublewaters area, picking up Buck Tor, Berra Tor and Virtuous Lady Crags on the walk. The views are a bit obscured from here, being in the trees but you can get a view in the direction of Calstock to the west from here. There are no military firing areas near this tor.
