This rock sits right beside the road between Widecombe in the Moor and Pudsham Down, not too far from Scorbitor farm. As you pass along the road it can be difficult to see the actual rock, however a mobile phone mast will give you a key locator to Blackslade Rock’s location. There is a small parking spot also right by the rock. The views are extensive across to Hameldown and Corndon Tor to the west. And from the top of the rock you can also see down to Widecombe and its church. There are no military firing ranges near here.
