Bullaton Rock

This is a pretty huge outcrop sitting within a woodland on the edge of farmland to the south west of Trenchford Reservoir. Getting here seems pretty easy as there is a way from the north to this one, either that or climb the barbed wire fence from the Kelly Mine path to the south and head across and up through the woodland. On reaching the bottom of the outcrop there is a gate to the western side giving up access to the summit and the vista over the woodland. Views to Cosdon Beacon in the north, Hayne Down and Black Hill to the west and down towards Bovey Tracey in the south. Its a fantastic spot belying its modest height. There are no military areas near here.
