Creber’s Rock

This is a small rocky outcrop on the western side of Ugborough Beacon which can also go by the name of Claret Tor. It can easily be seen from Butterdon Hill however if you are coming down from Ugborough Beacon itself, its a little easier to first wander over to Eastern Beacon, before then heading to this one. Like all the hills on this side of the moor, the views south across South Hams are extensive, and stretch to the sea. With a couple of other tops nearby this one is nice to add on to a walk from Western Beacon, Sharp Tor and round to Ugborough Beacon, before picking this one up on the way back to Western Beacon. There are no military firing ranges near this tor.
