Leign Valley Tor

This is a decent sized tor, set within woodland, above Leign Farm. In fact you can see some of the farm buildings below you from this outcrop as well as a peek through to Heltor Rock in the winter, when the leaves are absent. This tor can be a tricky one to get to with two possible approaches. The first is from above, were a metal gate gives access to an open area, covered in gorse, bracken and bramble, there is a narrow path following the path down the hill, handrailing the wall to the trees, just as you enter the tor is below you. Through a broken gate to the left, just inside the trees, is a grassy track which leads to a tarmac path above Leign Farm, this is the second way in. There are no firing areas near here.
