There are plenty of outcrops around Cox Tor, especially out the back overlooking White Tor. However this one is the one that gets the title of a tor, even if it is just a little one. The ground levels out on to a shelf here and a rocky outcrop protrudes up to give a great view west looking over Tavistock and Cornwall. The views clearly outweigh the outcrop here, as they are superb, over western Devon and into Bodmin Moor. This is an easy tor to reach with a road running below it and it being close to Cox Tor itself. There is a firing range reasonably close to the north and east so obey the flags on White Tor and Roos Tor if heading that way.
