This is an old packhorse bridge sitting in Hisley Woods, near to Lustleigh. It would probably have been used by people in Lustleigh to get to Manaton or possibly on to Haytor and beyond. It is certainly a packhorse bridge of a classic style and was likely built prior to the Tithe maps of 1840 where it was first recorded properly. It a lovely place to come in the summer to have a sit and enjoy the waters of the River Bovey which flows underneath it, and there are plenty of paths through the woodlands to link it with a nice circular walk, such as those to the Old Clam Bridge.
