Standon Steps Bridge

This is a clever double bridge over the River Tavy just downstream from the entrance to Tavy Cleave and upstream from the stepping stone crossing by Coffin Wood. This is a wooden bridge which spans the Tavy at the point where it splits, with an island in the middle, hence the two parts of the bridge. The bridge also sits not too far from Standon Farm hence its name. If there has been heavy rain or it is winter this is a sure fire way of crossing the Tavy as the stepping stones to the south will most certainly be under water.

From the other side, paths go off in all directions from here, including down to the stepping stones should they be covered and you have to come this way
