This cross probably wasn’t in this location originally, it was more likely on the Moorshop to Peter Tavy road as a waymarker for those heading to church in Peter Tavy. It has also been badly damaged as it was used as a gatepost for a while and one of the arms has fallen off somehow. Still its in this place now with Cox Tor looming behind it.
