This is a new replacement cross which was erected in 2019 and replaced an older one which fell around 2013/14. The cross sits high above the road on an outcrop called Leigh Bridge Rocks. The outcrop sits above the Teign river and near to Leigh Bridge in a very picturesque area. The previous cross had been there for a hundred years but had weakened and fallen, with the new one being erected by the Dartmoor National Park
