Sanduck Cross

This is a nice little cross, reassembled into the hedge under an ash tree in the hamlet of Sanduck. This hamlet sits to the north of the popular village of Lustleigh and if you approach from the west it is on your left hand side. The cross itself was placed here in the early 1900s after being found in a farmhouse nearby that had burnt down. It had been placed in the farmhouse to hide it from those that destroyed such antiquities. It was put in this spot near to where it is thought it originally resided.
