This tor is almost the last tor along a line which starts way south at Steeperton Tor and beyond. The only other tor north of this one is Tors End Tor. This is a fairly decent outcrop and certainly deserves a tor title on its own as it sits a distance from Belstone Tor. The River Taw runs below this one to the east and the Nine Stones circle is to the north and west past Tors End Tor. This tor is reasonably near to the Okehampton firing range and a red flag will be flying on Watchet Hill if it is being used by the army.
