Hare Tor

Hare Tor is on the western edge of Dartmoor and has fantastic views in all directions. To the west is Cornwall and north you have Great Links Tor and Brat Tor. In a southerly direction there is the sea and Plymouth Sound and behind Hare Tor is the wide open spaces towards Fur Tor and Great Kneeset. Hare Tor sits close to a large number of other tors, within a couple of miles sit another half a dozen tors providing plenty of options to link tors together in a walk. Hare Tor is also one of the best tors on this side of the moor and is in view from a lot of other tors as well. The best parking for this area is the car park behind the Dartmoor Inn near Lydford. Hare Tor is within the Willsworthy firing range and has a military flag pole at its summit.
