Hen Tor

Hen Tor, when viewed from Ditsworthy Warren looks a large commanding tor. The truth is it’s just over 400 metres high and sits on the side of the grassy Lee Moor. The area around the tor is full of clitter and in the summer the bracken can be a real pain, which means to get to the tor the art of granite hopping must be perfected!! There are no easy paths to Hen Tor, the easiest approach is from nearby Great Trowlesworthy Tor which means parking near Cadover Bridge and heading over Trowlesworthy Warren. There are no military firing ranges in this area.
