Kingshead Tor is sat on the side of Hameldown Beacon, in fact if you are walking the Two Moors Way you can easily walk right past it and not know it’s there. It’s a very small outcrop of granite on the Two Moors Way, overlooking Kingshead farm, and you probably need to know where to expect it, to find it. Don’t get this one mixed up with Stoneslade Tor which is further up the hill to the left of the Two Moors Way path. The views back along the Two Moors Way to Corndon Tor and beyond to Ryders Hill are fabulous though and this tor makes for a good stopping off point on the way up to Hameldown. There are no military areas near this tor.
