This one sits above Hawkmoor Rocks and is easily accessed from the track that winds up the hill from the main path below. Also sitting on the edge of Shaptor Wood this one can be accessed from a number of different directions, however parking around here is tricky so best to loop this and Hawkmoor Rocks on a walk around this area. The tor itself composes of a huge slab of rock, and view from below on the path it looks like a wall of granite. However the best access is from above following the path to the left of Hawkmoor Rocks, this will bring you up past the outcrop and to a ledge of mossy rock which is the top of this tor. A fine viewpoint over to Shaptor Woods proper, this is a pretty good woodland tor. There are no military firing areas near here.
