Quickbeam Hill

Quickbeam Hill sits in the centre of Southern Dartmoor with great views in all directions. It is a fairly flat hill without any discernible characteristics except one. The Zeal tramway (Puffing Billy), this carried clay away from the Redlake clay works down to Shipley Bridge, making its way around the lower slopes of Quickbeam Hill as it did so. The Two Moors Way also runs nearby to the west making this hill a fairly easy spot to get to. No military firing in this area.

Height – 467metres          OS Grid Reference – SX656647
