Quickbeam Hill

Quickbeam Hill sits in the centre of Southern Dartmoor with great views in all directions. It is a fairly flat hill without any discernible characteristics except one. The Zeal tramway (Puffing Billy), this carried clay away from the Redlake clay works down to Bittaford, making its way around the lower slopes of Quickbeam Hill as it did so. The Two Moors Way also runs along the old railway track to the west making this hill a fairly easy spot to get to. There are settling tanks on the hill so you know where you are when you see them. No military firing in this area.
