Sampford Tor is a small collection of granite which is secondary to the larger Pew Tor a hundred metres up the hill. As a result it probably rarely gets a mention or is included in a walk other than by those collecting tor summits!!! There are plenty of moorland parking spots around Sampford Spiney or include this in a longer walk from Pork Hill. The views from here to the south are very good towards Plymouth Sound, as well as across to Bodmin Moor. There are no military firing ranges around this tor.
