This tor, or tors in the case of this page, sits handily on Trendlebere Down at the end of a spur of land which juts out towards Houndtor Wood. The tors themselves are located on steep ground, one at the pointy end of the spur (Trendlebere North Tor, red arrow on the map below) and just off to the left (west) in the case of Trendlebere Tor (black arrow on the map). Looking at the OS map it is Trendlebere North that is actually marked on there and is probably the harder of the two to drop down to, this one is easier from below if you are down that way. There is a road along the top and a car park a few hundred metres east of the start of the spur, giving easy access to the tops of these tors, just the steep drop to negotiate if you want to see them properly. You will get some views across towards Lustleigh and out towards Bovey Tracey from the top of the spur, but the tors are in trees so the views from them are limited. There are no military ranges near here.
