As with its higher brother this tor used to sit within a woodland, now however this pretty large tor is on show for all to see. The tor itself starts within the trees still in place above the main split rock, with large boulders running downhill towards the road. From that road below the tor there is a quarry track which wends its way up towards this outcrop, making it the easiest way up. Unless of course you have gone to the higher tor first and therefore you will need to mind your footing as you traverse across tot his one. There are no military areas near here.
