Woodcock Tor

This tor sits very near to the Rattlebrook railway track on the western side of Dartmoor, overlooking the Lyd valley and views across to Cornwall. The views on this side of the moor are always very good, with Great Nodden grabbing the attention below. The easiest way to this outcrop is along the railway track, coming from the north as the track contours around Woodcock Hill, the tor will be below you about 10 metres from the track. There are no military firing areas near this tor, although they start at Kitty Tor to the east.
