A great name for a tor, which probably originates from the name of the Piphole Linhay barn below this tor. Its a shame that the outcrop itself doesn’t match up to the name, there are a couple of reasonably sized boulders and a fair bit of moss covered clitter, but that’s about it I’m afraid. The good news is this outcrop sits very near to Hound Tor, on its north eastern slope just inside the woodland. And with Greator Rocks a short distance away, decent outcrops aren’t far to walk. With this outcrop within the woodland there are no views from this one, the same as nearby Plat Tor, also no military areas near here.
