This outcrop sits in a small wooded area to the north of the lane/road running east from Hound Tor car park towards Leighon or Southcott. If you are heading along the road, just before the cattle grid there is a path on the right leading up towards Hound Tor, opposite that is a wall over the wall is Plat Tor. This tor spreads out a fair bit with a decent number of boulders and one particular unique looking rock, which resembles a comma or speech mark or something. No views from here within the woods nor any firing ranges either.
