Huntingdon Clapper Bridge

This small clapper bridge was built by a rabbit warrener in order to give him better access to Ivybridge and it would assume the market place. It has stood the test of time for sure and it still carries animal and people to where they need to get to! The bridge spans the River Avon about a mile to the northwest of the end of the Avon Reservoir. There has been a short barrier erected at the half way point of this bridge (around 2019) to prevent sheep from crossing.
