Bleak by name and in poor weather this place will be bleak by nature. Bleak House sits beside the Rattlebrook between the Dunna Goat Tors and Green Tor/Amicombe Hill. It was built to house the manager of the nearby Rattlebrook peat works. It would have been a fairly simple structure and the nearby peat would have provided plenty of fuel!! This house sits on the edge of the two firing ranges, Willsworthy and Okehampton.
