There has been a farm on this spot since 1733 although the more recent looking bungalow was built around 1890. The farm is abandoned now, although it can’t have been that long ago as there is a sky dish on the roof!! This is a bit of a shame as its in a lovely spot and there are plenty of outbuildings and barns to keep animals in, I can see however, that it would be a tough existence here but it would make a lovely small holding. The farm was run by Ruth Murray who used it as a badger rescue centre in the 80s and 90s, there was even a TV series based here called Badger Girl, regularly shown to school kids up and down the land. There is also a tale of an earth tremor on this spot on Christmas Day in 1923 when the decorations all fell down! The place needs some TLC as its starting to get a little overgrown but the authorities that own the place will not sell it.
