Lydford Church

St Petroc’s in Lydford was probably a timber framed church as far back as 650AD, with a more solid building being built in Norman times, with add ons in the 13th and 15th centuries. It has a Norman font made of Hurdwick stone, a lovely rood screen and fine pew ends. It sits at one end of the village next to the Lydford Castle and before the gorge entrance, which is down the hill.
