Hangingstone Hill

Hangingstone Hill is one of the highest points on Dartmoor and as a result the views are fantastic, especially to the north. It’s a fairly easy place to walk to due to the army tracks that lead right to it. It does involve a longish walk but the tarmac and gravel paths make for quick progress, the best place to park is at OP22 near Rowtor. The observation hut on its summit also makes it an easy hill to spot from distance. Hangingstone Hill obviously lies within the Okehampton firing range, so obey the red flags if they are flying.
