Meavy Cross

This village cross sits on the village green in Meavy itself, right by the Meavy Oak and the pub of that name. The cross has been in place for a while, or at least the base has, with the shaft being found in the churchyard wall in the late 19th century. A local stonemason remade a cross for the top and it was re-erected in the 1890s.
