Warren House Inn

This is the highest Inn in southern England, sitting at 434 metres above sea level. It was built to serve the mining trade of Vitifer and Golden Dagger mines, through the 1800s and up to 1930, before the last mine closed. It survives now on passing tourist trade. The fire in the Inn is said to have been burning since 1845, when the previous building on the opposite side of the road was replaced, by the current building, with the fire embers being transferred across.
