Arch Tor

Arch Tor is quite a high tor that is surrounded by history, bogs and higher tors. You have Powdermills to one side, the horrible Archerton Bog behind it and tors such as Bellever, Longaford and Higher White Tor for company. Its a very simple walk to the summit along the Lych Way from the B3212 road from Two Bridge to Postbridge. On the summit you will get good views to all the tors named above plus across to Ryders Hill in the south on a good weather day. With it being out on its own like it is, it is a tricky tor to link with others although a walk down to Powdermills from here would make a nice hour or so out. There are no military firing areas near this tor
