Bel Tor

Bel Tor sits very close to the road that leads down to Dartmeet from Poundsgate, however there are a number of websites that say this tor cannot be accessed and just as many that say it can, from one direction. I’m in the latter camp, if you walk along the lane past the farm to the east of Bel Tor, you will notice lots of Private signs on gates, and then one gate that doesn’t have that sign which leads to Bel Tor. I took that route to the summit. The views are good to the west across Sharp Tor and also to the north up to Hameldown. If you don’t fancy heading to the tor, standing by the road will mean you are within 40 metres of it. This tor is nowhere near any firing ranges
