Black Tor (Walkhampton Common)

Black Tor sits within a stones throw of the B3212 Princetown to Yelverton road and as a result, can be easily reached from the many parking spots along this road or combined in a walk with other tors nearby. The main reason for coming to Black Tor is the Logan Stone (balanced granite rock) that sits perched on one of the summit stacks. However the views from this tor are also worth coming to see particularly down the Meavy valley towards Burrator. There are no military firing ranges near to Black Tor
