Rowtor, in comparison to those around it, is a little tor on the northern edge of Dartmoor. It stands on the edge of the Okehampton firing range near to Okehampton camp so access will be restricted when live firing is going on. There are plenty of parking spaces below Rowtor from which to ascend and plenty of paths to extend the walk on to West Mill Tor or Yes Tor. Despite its diminutive stature, compared to those around it, this is a fine tor with plenty of granite to satisfy most Dartmoor walkers.
