I have to say that when I came to this tor I didn’t know it was even a tor at the time! Blakey Tor is sort of stuck on the side of Royal Hill, however this does not mean it isn’t worth a visit, far from it. The wide vista laid out in front of you including Beardown Tors and Longaford Tor is fantastic. The granite pile is decent for such a small tor but its the view that will grab the attention. The easiest way to Blakey Tor is either from Whiteworks, heading over Royal Hill to this one. Or from Princetown heading out past Tor Royal towards the Crock of Gold. There are no military firing areas near this tor.
