Bovey Rock

Like all the tors around Top Tor the views from here are what brings the visitors. This area is pretty popular with Haytor only a 20 minute walk away and plenty of people choosing to come here as well. The views down to Widecombe in the Moor are fantastic, to the south towards Brent Hill and north towards Hameldown and Chinkwell Tor. Then you have the views to Haytor where the crowds will normally be. Its a fine spot. Bovey Rock is near the road into Widecombe and slightly down the hill from Lower Top Tor. It fits in nicely with a walk down from there and then on to Holwell Tor. No military areas near this tor.
