This hill sits in the north east quarter of Dartmoor near to Castle Drogo. There are a couple of paths that take you to the highest point, there isn’t really an obvious high spot, although there is a small hump which acts as the summit. The views are good from here, across to the main Dartmoor hills to the west, with Easdon Tor to the south. Mardon Down sits to the east and the Teign valley lies to the north. Its an easy hill to walk up in the winter from the roadside parking either at Bowden farm or Willingstone farm, however in the summer months it will be covered in bracken and the ascent will not be much fun. There are no military firing areas near here.
