Chinkwell Tor is the highest of the tors that string out in a long line from Wittaburrow up to Honeybag Tor and as a result this tor tends to stand out when looking this way from a distance. There is hardly any distance between the tors around here, in fact a walk of 3 or 4 miles would see you bag at least 5 or 6 tors. The views from this tor are pretty good, north back to Honeybag Tor and beyond but the better views are to the east and Haytor. The easiest route to this tor is probably from the car park beside Bonehill Rocks and heading up over Bell Tor. There are no military firing zones near this tor.
