I have to say, I like Cleave Tor, a lot. Its a cracking place, the drop from the summit down to the East Okement is good, the views north and south along the valley are very good and the whole place is excellent. Its easy to get to being so close to the Tarka Trail and Belstone at the northern side of Dartmoor. The views are good, as mentioned, with Scarey Tor in view to the north, Ashbury Tor/East Hill across the valley and north Devon stretches out to the north. All is good here. Whilst Okehampton firing range is not too far away this tor can be easily reached without being too bothered by it.
