Collard Tor

Collard Tor is a small tor which sits just above the small village of Wotter on the south western corner of Dartmoor. Along with Hawks Tor these are probably the nearest tors to Plymouth. The views, therefore, of Plymouth, Plymouth Sound and out to sea are fantastic, the only downside of the views from this tor are the Hemerdon tungsten workings and the Lee Moor china clay pits which dominate this area and scar the landscape. The easiest way to this tor is parking opposite the pub in Wotter and making a beeline up through the clitter, its easy to add in Hawks Tor to this walk also. There are no military firing ranges in this area
