Gipsy Rock

This is a small rocky outcrop beside a road on the western side of Dartmoor not too far from Peek Hill. It isn’t the easiest outcrop to find although being beside a road will help with getting there. If you are coming in from the north on the map below, head along the road and cross the cattle bridge, about 100 metres after the cattle bridge there will be a gate on your right and Gypsy Rock on your left, if it is summer it will be covered in bracken and foliage. From the south you will need to find a junction of gates in the corner of some walls heading down from Peek Hill, you then follow the walled grassy lane to the same gate (great view down to Walkhampton Church from the gate) and look right to Gypsy Rock. To be honest this one is just a list tick and there’s nothing here to halt you for too long. There are no military areas near here.
