Gladstone Rock is within woodland to the west of Hennock on the eastern side of Dartmoor. A good path leads from the lane ( I believe its called Bell Lane) into Shaptor Woods, before you reach Shaptor Woods however Gladstone Rock is off up to the left of the path a few hundred metres after leaving the tarmac and perhaps 50 metres into the start of the woods. The views are mostly hidden, and the rock itself is pretty covered with greenery, with a tree growing from the top. There are no military areas near here.
