Greator Rocks

From a distance Greator Rocks are two large piles of granite sat on the side of Hound Tor, overlooking the Becka Brook valley. Getting up close they are a mass of boulders covered in moss and vegetation. However climbing them is a decent short scramble and well worth the effort. The easiest approach is from the Hound Tor direction, parking in the big car park, if you come from the Haytor side this will involve a steep climb up the side of the valley. The views from the top are pretty good, especially along the valley to Rippon Tor and round to Haytor. There are no military areas near here.
