Higher Hisley Tor

This one is located as per its name, above Higher Hisley near to Lustleigh. As with Croft Tor take the same route to this one, and as you pass through the gate you have two choices, either drop down the main path to a lower gate, go through that and hang a left and back up again. Or head straight left after the first gate into the corner and squeeze through the gap in the fence and then upwards to the left to the summit. As you are walking up the path to the first gate you will get a glimpse of this tor through the gate of a small stable yard, with the tor in the trees beyond the yard. As for the outcrop there’s a bit more to this one than you think on approach from below, as it keeps on going upwards and round to the right. There’s a bit of a view out in the direction of Lustleigh but only in winter really. There are no military ranges near here.
