Another one of the tors in the popular Haytor area, as with the others, Holwell Tor is also overshadowed by its more visited neighbour. Holwell Tor however is worth a visit to get away from the crowds whilst still being able to take in the fantastic vistas north and to Top Tor. With all the parking spots along the road below Haytor this is an easy tor to get to. Holwell Tor was also part of the huge quarrying in this area, drop down to the north and head towards the valley bottom to see the granite removed from this area. This tor does not lie in any military firing range.
