Hucken Tor is a small tor with most of it hidden in the trees to the south of Merrivale village. Its a fairly easy walk to get there, starting at the Dartmoor Inn in Merrivale and heading along the lane through the trees to the south. Once across the bridge you will see the lower parts of this massive tor and its a simple ascent up through the trees and gate to the top, with a surprising amount of rock within the trees below. Popping out the top on a small flat rock gives great views to the west over Pew Tor to Cornwall and to the north lies Great Mis Tor. There are no military ranges around this tor.
