North Hessary Tor

North Hessary Tor is recognisable from a large part of southern and central Dartmoor due to the large TV transmitting station and its mast which sits at the top. Views from the top on a clear day are superb, with Plymouth in view in the distance and a fabulous view towards Great Mis Tor and around to Roos and Cox Tor. There are a number of ways to this tor, either straight up from Princetown itself via Station Road or parking at Rundlestone and following the track used by the TV mast engineers. No military firing ranges are around this tor
