Ottery Tor (aka Ladybrook Tor)

Ottery Tor sits above the River Taw on the side of Cosdon Hill, and is also known as Ladybrook Tor. This tor gives you a good view north and south, north to Taw Marsh, Oke Tor and Steeperton Tor, and south to the village of Belstone and beyond. This is a very simple tor to get to from Belstone, by crossing the bridge over the Taw below Belstone Green and heading up the path. You can also include the nearby Cosdon Hill as well. Its a nice little tor with more clitter than I’ve seen at most other tors, however it will only be a stop off place before heading on to bigger and better things. No military firing areas this side of the Taw.
