Sharp Tor (Ugborough Moor)

Sharp Tor (Ugborough Moor), like many tors on Dartmoor, has two sides to it. Facing the River Erme is a steep sided dramatic plunge down to the river itself. However on the other side heading up from the Two Moors Way is a gently sloping grassy path which gives no clues to the drop on the other side. When viewed from Piles Hill the difference is obvious. The views from this tor are good to the west to Plymouth Sound and across to Penn Beacon. Following the Two Moors Way from Ivybridge is an easy way to get to this tor or you can also park at Harford Gate. There are no military areas near this tor.
